The Independent Race Series is all about making motorsport accessible to everyone. And we recognise that not everyone wants to compete as a driver - there are plenty of people keen to get a foot in the door as motorsport mechanics.
The hard part for an aspiring mechanic can be getting relevant experience. So, we have a volunteer mechanic program, where we place volunteers with teams so they can gain on the job experience. It helps the teams, with an extra hand in the garage, and it helps the volunteers by providing experience, job references and a the beginning of a great relationship with the motorsport family.
